Angie Grasberger

Angie GrasbergerAngie Grasberger (grasbera@manateeschools.net) for the past 20 years has held a variety of positions with the Manatee County School District in Bradenton, Florida. She had been a high school mathematics teacher in New York prior to moving to Florida in 1985. She taught math at Manatee High School (MHS) prior to becoming the Career Connections Coordinator for MHS in 1995. In addition to this responsibility, Angie was the High Schools That Work (HSTW) Site Coordinator and Co-Director of International Studies at Manatee High.

Since 2002, Angie became the Career & Technical Education Counselor for the School District of Manatee County and presently serves as the SLC/Academy Project Coordinator and oversees the 2.1 million dollar Smaller Learning Communities Implementation Grant for the district and the Succeed Florida Academy Grants and the Florida Matchmaker Grants. She holds a masters degree in mathematics from the Belfer Graduate School of Science, Yeshiva University, New York. Angie is a member of the National Career Academy Coalition (NCAC) Board of Directors, has worked with the Florida Department of Education in making Florida the first state chapter of NCAC, and serves as the Executive Director of the chapter. She is also the Vice-President of the Southeast Coalition of Essential Schools Center located at NOVA University in Tampa, Florida.

Angie has also worked with the career academy leaders from around the country in creating the Career Academy National Standards of Practice (NSOP) and is the author of the Career Academy Self-Assessment Rubric for the NSOP.
