Dr. Daniel Wallace
Daniel Wallace, Ed.D (daniel@naf.org) is the Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager for the National Academy Foundation. NAF sustains a nation-wide network of career-themed Academies that are organized as small learning communities. NAF's small school vision emphasizes academic excellence while preparing students to pursue professional careers in the corporate sector.
Dan is also an Associate Faculty member and Fellow at Johns Hopkins University with the Teaching Dialogues Program.
In 2005, he had a full time position as a School Coordinator at Francis M. Wood Alternative High School in Baltimore City. The position entailed reforming the organization structure and curriculum used in the school.
Daniel A. Wallace was an Organizational Facilitator for Single Sites with CSOS/Talent Development High Schools, Johns Hopkins University; 2001-2004. While at Talent Development Dan was involved with whole school reform with wall-to-wall career academies on the national level and as a researcher.
Before coming to Johns Hopkins University, he was the Special Assistant to the Vice President of programs for the Close Up Foundation. Dr. Wallace was involved with curriculum planning, program development, program administration, instruction, and teacher training. Dr. Wallace has implemented civic-education programs for retirees (Elderhostel), students in grades 7-12 and service-learning educators. His workshop on critical reflection has in the past helped hundreds of teachers improve their delivery of service-learning projects.
Dr. Wallace earned a Masters of Education and Doctorate of Education from Teachers College at Columbia University, NYC. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science at CCNY; City College of New York.
